Well I'm glad we've got that sorted out, how we managed to survive
without your insight into the world I don't know.

While this guy seems to be a bit of a tube he does have a point. F1 is
more boring now than it ever as been. BTCC, WSB, WRC, Moto GP, FIA GT,
any of lower formulas like Renault and 3 and CART are all much more
entertaining to watch.

Golf is boring too but I'm not stupid enough to go trolling golf newsgroups
to try and convince people who like it that they shouldn't. Anyone who
doesn't like F1, what in the fuck are you doing here? Go to a newsgroup
about something you DO enjoy! Is there a Formula Renault newsgroup? LOL.

Appreciate what, how the car practially drives its self? I used to love
F1, hell I even still watch it every race weekend. I convince my self
ever race that it will get better, but im always disapointed.

No I dont really care for Williams either. Its not the dominant team at
the front that bothers me its the lack of racing all the way down the
grid. How many genuine passing moves on the track do you see these days,
not enough.

Their was probably two semi-decent races at most. Im sorry if I dont
find mind numbing races involving a bunch of dull racers with no
charachter boring, I expect more from what are supposed to be the
greatest racers in the world, although WRC drivers and MotoGP/WSB riders
are just if not more talented.

"Nobody watches it anymore <sic>"

The global audience for F1 is still massive. If these other formulae
are so good why do very few people watch them (even when they're shown
on cable/satellite?

I don't find it at all boring, if I did I wouldn't watch it. While it
isn't as spectacular as it used to be watching the way the race
develops over the two hours is always fascinating. Of course, as a
long-time sports car racing fan I'm used to this, I suppose, watching
the way the big endurance races develop is really enjoyable. BTCC is
glorified dodgem-cars, and you can't really compare 'bike racing with
car-racing, they're two different animules.

It's going to be interesting watching the front-runners trying to
catch-up and overtake Ferrari, which they undoubtedly will.

Do you think Britney Spears is talented? She has massive global sales,
what does that prove?
People like Cheez Whiz.
I agree F1 global viewing is still masive but its dropping.
It is not.
Most of the formulas their are domestic which doesnt help, and
why more people are not watching MotoGP is beyond me.
Not everyone has penis envy.
Most people dont have satalite which puts a lot of sports behind straight
away when it comes to TV viewing figures. Anyway Nascar is huge in
America, does that make it good?
Nooo... SEE Britney Spears.

I was merely commenting on your endorsement of the OP's statement
"nobody watches it anymore" <sic>

Which, of course, is crap.

F1 has a huge global following. Doesn't matter if it's good or bad,
that's the status quo.

All those other formulae you've quoted have been shown on prime-time tv
in the uk with tiny (compared to F1) audience figures.

So, the OP actually doesn't have a point, because he's demonstrably
wrong. As are you.

Common myth. There's been bugger all that's filtered from modern
F1 cars into the commodity market.
